Your love is taller that the big pines,

Wider than the river at the sea, Lord.

The gulls of the air are as your angels,

Watching and following every little thing.

Your works are as the ripples on the bay,

Ever flowing and ever-growing.

The storms at sea show Your power,

Your might is as the biggest of waves.

Your kindness is as the fish in the sea,

Small and large and billions strong.

And Your mercy, soft as sea-foam,

Covers all the sands of our sins.

You protect us as fog blankets the water,

Safe and snug and gentle as snow.

Like the dock, You wait for our return,

When we sail out into the world, Lord.

And welcome us back as the shore does,

All warm and as caring as home.
