Dear God, my God, You are great.

More than any old gods of fate,

More than any old gods of trees,

To You, only, will I bend my knees.

Your fingerprints are in the sky,

And on the earth, and I know why.

To be good, you would show us how,

From lofty stars, to the lowly cow.

Under angels You set us, one step down

You honor us with an earthly crown,

To rule all the land, the sea, the air,

I pray You show us to be fair.

Dear God, my God, You are great!

Amen
