O Lord, we are Your flowers,

We bloom for but a season,

Then the North Wind blows,

And we are all forgotten.

And we are all different:

Tall and short and in-between,

Red and yellow and blue,

Wide and thin and medium,

Big and small and tiny flowers.

We are all the same inside,

We all smell sweet for You,

And we grow in Your glory.

As long as we turn to You,

You shine and keep us fed,

Let us not be overshadowed,

Or covered by an early snow.

May our season be long,

With warmth and rain,

Let us leave our seed,

To grow in Your name
